Netbus is a nasty program created by Carl Frederik Neikter. This allows ANYONE running the client part to connect to anyone using the server portion,WITH THE SAME RIGHTS AND PRIVILEDGES AS THE CURRENTLY LOGGED ON USER!
The things Netbus is capable of are:
Open/Close CD-ROM.
Show optional BMP/JPG image.
Swap mouse buttons.
Start optional application.
Play a wav fille.
Control mouse.
Show different kind's of messages.
Shut down Windows.
Downloadto an optional URL.
Send keystrokes and disable keys.
Listen for and send keystrokes.
Upload/Delete files.
Go Take a screendumpdecrease the sound-volume.
Record sounds from the microphone.
Upload optional file.
Increase and Make click sounds every time a key is pressed.
It also has a 'class C' port scaner.
NetBus 2.x
So far all Netbus programs have been considered trojans, but Carl has made the 2.0 a valid remote adaministrative program. This will not make it impossible to make it a trogan but much more difficult. The reason is it is neccisary to 'put' certain registration entries in different parts of the program.
